she was 8 years old in 1662
Anna Tienemans 8 years of age and the daughter of Jacobszen Tieneman, tailor, who had stayed behind on the Island of Guadeloupe owing to the Lord General petrus Stuijvesant's hurried departure; and Teuntie Straetsman, from Culembourg widow of Jan
Meijring and Georg Haff, and wife of Gabriel Corbesij, and who died 1662
November 22, 1662.
Custody Contract.
We, the undersigned, acknowledge hereby that we, as executors of the late Teuntie Straetsmans' last will and as supervisors of her minor children, have placed, and do place, Anna Tienemas, daughter of Tieneman Jacobsen, tailor, in the custody of
Gerrit Cornelissen, living at the Secretary's farm in Midwout, in order to live in his house and to serve him for a period of six consecutive years. The afore-memtioned Gerrit Cornelissen van Niekerck promised, and promises with his own signature, to
provide this girl with proper board and clothing during the aforesaid years, to send her to school during the winter evenings, and to treat her in a proper way. Done in Breuckelen, December 1, 1662.
