I have a baptismal record for a Clemens Steichen baptized 28 June 1794 on this record his father is listed as Francois Steichen and his mother as Anna Congs of Bivange. The problem is on the above Clemens marriage record his birth month is listed as July not June. This difference in birth months is because the French calendar was in effect from 1792 to 1806 and all dates from that time period have to be converted, and that is why the dates from the baptismal record and marriage record differ. As far as why Anna Congs is listed as Clemens mother, its just a mistake. His correct parents are listed on his marriage record in Bous, Luxembourg in the year 1825.
