News from the Valley Irrigator Newell South Dakota. The column heading Vale and Vicinity. Feb 4, 1937:

Donald Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Adams, had the misfortune last Saterday of slicing the top part of his knuckle and splitting the end of his left thumb. He was taken to Sturgis for treatment.

Mar 4, 1937: Harry Adams is employed this week at the Kingsbury Store while the Kingsbury families are away.

July 15, 1937: Vale experienced a heavy rain Monday with over 5 inches falling in 1 1/2 hours a steady rain during the night raised the total to over 7 inches. The Harry Adams family had to be moved from their home on Cottonwood Creek. The road a mile east of Vale was impassable and a number of people were stranded here.

Dec 2, 1937: Mr. and Mrs. Harry Adams were honored Sunday evening with a silver shower in honor of their 25th wedding anniversary. The shower was held at the home of Mrs. Tena Holdren, mother of Mrs Adams, and the same place where the couple was married. 25 Years Ago In Newell.

Dec 12, 1912: Harry Adams and Miss Fern Holdren were married last week at Vale, Rev Frank performing the ceremony. They will reside at Vale.

Sept 19, 1938: Mrs. Harry Adams (Deadwood) 1st place for embroidered centerpiece. 2nd place crocheted centerpiece. 1st place chair set. 1st place infants outfit embroidered centerpiece - Butte County Fair
